The winners of the Halloween coloring contest are: 4- and 5- year-olds — Maddox Norris, 6- and 7-year-olds — Kaiden Norris, 8- and 9-year-olds — Samuel Hollman, and 10- and 11-year-olds — Paige Smith
All the entries were so good and so original and Tina, Susan and I are just glad we didn’t have to do any of the judging. I wish they all could have won but then it wouldn’t have been a contest.
Next Wednesday, Nov. 11, is Veteran’s Day and the library will be open for business as usual.
If you are one of the people who get the day off, why not come by and check out something good to read or listen to or watch. Or just come by and read one of our newspapers. We subscribe to the Pauls Valley Daily Democrat, the Garvin County News Star, the Oklahoman, the New York Times and the Wall Street Journal. We also subscribe to more than 40 magazines for your reading pleasure.
Can you believe it is less than three weeks until Thanksgiving and we are having such great weather! The only bad thing is all this moisture and then sunshine and warm days really makes the grass grow. I thought I had “retired” the lawnmower for the year, but will have to get it out again.
Drop by and see us and check out what’s going on at your library.
