Pauls Valley, Oklahoma —
A tragic discovery came on Wednesday when two dead bodies were found inside a residence just southwest of Pauls Valley.
Little information is for now known as word spread throughout the afternoon hours of the find.
Garvin County Sheriff Larry Rhodes said the discovery came after his office was contacted and requested to make a welfare check.
“We initially got a call to check on the welfare of someone at a residence near Klondike and Airline Road,” Rhodes said.
“When we were en route we got another call from a family member who discovered two deceased family members in the house,” he said.
The sheriff said on Wednesday afternoon it was way too early to determine the cause of death for the two people found.
“We know there’s some trauma, but we don’t know if this was a murder, a murder-suicide or what. It’s just too early in the investigation to determine that yet,” Rhodes said.
“We do know we have two deceased people found by a family member.”
Also called in to assist in the case was the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation, he said.
The names of the two deceased individuals have not yet been released to the public.
