Pauls Valley, OK, Pauls Valley Democrat

Kudos to fire guys

Dear Editor,

As business owners in downtown Pauls Valley, we would like to thank Chief Joe Eddy and the entire Pauls Valley Fire Department as well as the departments from Purcell, Stratford and Wynnewood.

You guys certainly put yourselves in harm’s way Tuesday afternoon.

We wouldn't help but think about the firefighters from Hydro who were killed the day before, but by God's grace and the professionalism of all of you, no one was injured.

We are thankful to live in a town with a truly outstanding fire department that can blend so well with the fire departments from other area towns that came to help and controlled such a hot fire to only two buildings that could have very easily burned the entire half block.

Again, kudos to all the firemen, the police department and the City of Pauls Valley employees that were involved.
