Reader says thanks to Elmore City church

Editor,

Thanksgiving is a time of family, fellowship and being thankful.

I would like to express some things that I am thankful for. I am thankful for being able to wake up every morning and look forward to what God has in store for that day. I am thankful for my family. We may not always see eye to eye on everything, but we are always there for one another. I am also thankful for great friends. Days just wouldn't be the same without great friends. There is one thing I am especially thankful for, and that is the opportunity to share a time of great fellowship with others in the community. I would like to say thank you to the First Baptist Church in Elmore City. The community dinner on the 18th was an awesome opportunity for fellowship.

Everyone was wonderful, beginning with the people greeting at the door, serving plates, helping seat people, to the people fixing meals to deliver and the group making the deliveries. The meal was delicious and people came around to the tables to ensure that everyone had enough to eat and drink.

A thank you just doesn't seem sufficient appreciation, but it is what I can offer. I pray I can speak for the community when I say, thank you for all your planning and preparation. Everything was delicious and it appeared to be enjoyed by many. I truly appreciate the things the church does for the community of Elmore City.
