Dear Editor,
Pauls Valley Public Schools and the community has had the great privilege to be a part of the Beyond the Bell program for many years.
This program ran after school for tutoring and enrichment along with a summer camp component that kept the students up on their reading and mathematic skills during the summer while also providing them with fun and enrichment.
One of the fun activities for summer included the students swimming at the Bosa Pool.
In many past years, we have had lifeguards that didn’t seem to quite grasp that they were hired to save and protect lives. However, this year was completely the opposite!
The lifeguards were AWESOME!! They were very attentive to the students, patient, polite and helpful.
We all noticed the difference this summer and wanted to tell them how much we appreciated a job well done!
It is great to see that some of the former students of the Beyond the Bell program have developed into such responsible and positive role models for the youth in Pauls Valley. Keep up the good work! Thanks.
