Rodeo to ride into PV

Pauls Valley, Oklahoma — The colorful streamers and banners are going up as part of the preparations for an American classic right here in Pauls Valley — next week’s Heritage Days Rodeo.

The 66th annual rodeo is set for 8 p.m. starts nightly Thursday through Saturday, June 23-25 at the PV Round-Up Club Arena in Wacker Park.

Another classic is a rodeo parade starting at 5 p.m. Saturday in downtown PV.

A variety of events will again be featured at the rodeo from riding to roping to steer wrestling to bullriding. There will also be mutton bustin’ for the youngsters, along with nightly appearances by Miss Rodeo USA Katie Barger.

Tickets at the gate on rodeo nights are $8 for adults, $4 for children and there is a senior citizens’ discount on Thursday.
