Maysville girl victim of explicit messages

A Colorado man is now facing a criminal charge accusing him of sending sexually explicit text messages and photos to the cell phone of a 12-year-old Maysville girl.

Charles Jason Condor, 23, of Clifton, Colo., was handed a $25,000 bond Friday during his initial courtroom appearance on a felony count of making an indecent proposal to a child earlier this month.

A not guilty plea was entered for Condor during the brief hearing in Garvin County District Court.

Condor also claimed innocence when interviewed by a special agent with the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation (OSBI), which came into the case at the request of Maysville police.

It was on July 19 when officers were contacted about a possible sex crime against a child.

The contact came from several members of the girl’s family who turned in her cell phone, which they claimed had previously received the explicit messages and photos from Condor’s cell phone.

The OSBI investigation soon revealed the young girl had met Condor in early June when she went to visit a relative in Colorado.

Reports show Condor was at the time dating another relative of the Maysville girl.

The girl claimed on her return home earlier this month Condor began to call her and they started exchanging text messages on their cell phones.

It was about July 13 or 14 the girl claims to have received several explicit photos from Condor’s phone.

Then on July 16 she told the OSBI that she began receiving sexually explicit messages from him.

A filed affidavit shows the girl, who denied any sexual contact between the two while in Colorado, admitted sending explicit photos of herself to Condor’s phone.

Three days later an OSBI agent contacted Condor, who claimed some of his text messages about loving the girl were sent as a joke.

He also claimed any explicit photos of himself had been sent to the Maysville girl by accident.

Condor did deny sending any explicit messages as he instead claimed the deed had been done by two of his co-workers in Colorado.

Condor’s next court appearance in Pauls Valley is scheduled for Aug. 10.
