Issues will take center stage when the Pauls Valley Chamber of Commerce holds a legislative breakfast later this week.
The event is set get underway at 6:45 a.m. Friday at Little Ben’s in PV, 1911 West Grant.
A full breakfast complete with coffee and juice will get things going, according to chamber officials.
At 7 a.m. there will be an official welcome by Chamber Legislative Chair Maureen Rude followed by an invocation by Pastor Tom Buzbee, president of the PV Ministerial Alliance.
Next up at 7:05 a.m. is a public forum on legislative issues in Oklahoma during the 2008 year.
State Sen. Susan Paddack, state Rep. Wes Hilliard and field representatives for Congressman Tom Cole (Amber Pollard), U.S. Sen. Jim Inhofe (Ron Massey) and U.S. Sen. Tom Coburn (Ashley Vaughn) will be covering many topics of interests and field any questions offered by those in attendance.
“This breakfast will serve as a public forum where we can continue to strengthen our relationship and communication with the appropriate local, state and federal officials and agencies in order to make them aware of our needs,” chamber officials said.
The gathering will conclude with networking and refreshments until 8 a.m.
