Farm Bill and Economic Forum Set

Pauls Valley — A Farm Bill and Economic Stimulus Forum is scheduled from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday, May 83 at the Murray County Expo Center in Sulphur.

The meeting is meant to provide attendees with the opportunity to hear about changes made from the Provisions of the Farm Bill and Economic Stimulus Programs and how it will affect Oklahoma agricultural producers, economic development coordinators, cities, health care and nutrition professionals, business owners, rural water district managers and others.

Nearly 20 different speakers will be present to address a variety of subject matters and be available to answer specific questions.

Concurrent break-out sessions will be repeated in both morning and afternoon sessions giving participants opportunities to sit in on several different topics.

Event sponsors include USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service, Oklahoma Association of Rural Electric Cooperatives, USDA Rural Development, Oklahoma Cooperative Extension Service, Oklahoma Department of Agriculture, Food & Forestry , USDA Farm Service Agency, Oklahoma Tribal Conservation Advisory Council and Oklahoma Association of Resource Conservation and Development (RC&D;) Councils.
