Pauls Valley — Relay For Life
A Relay For Life yard sale will begin at 8 a.m. Saturday at 110 Larry Lane in PV.
‘Touch a Truck’
“Touch a Truck Day” will be at 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday at the Wynnewood City Park. The event will offer kids a hands-on experience with dozens of various vehicles.
Game Day
A free community Game Day with hot dogs, hamburgers, cold drinks, water games and kickball will be offered by King’s Kids at 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Memorial Day, Monday, May 25 at the city parking lot just north of the center on Charles Avenue.
Holiday Luncheon
Lewis Cemetery will host a Memorial Day luncheon on Monday, May 25. Bring a covered dish. Call 238-4371.

Reception
A retirement reception for Sheriff Bill Roady will be at 10-11:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 27 in the second floor conference room of the Garvin County Courthouse.
Basketball Camp
A girl’s basketball camp for grades 1-6 will be offered from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. June 8-11 at the PVHS gym. Sign-up is the first day of camp at 8:15-9 a.m. The cost is $40.
Rodeo Queen
Candidates are now sought for the PV Roundup Club rodeo queen contest, which is part of the 64th Heritage Days Rodeo on June 25-27. For an application and rules, contact Lili Norton at Norton’s Jewelry in PV or call 238-2776 or evenings at 238-2722.

The switch was turned on and tests calls made as Wednesday became day number one for Garvin County’s brand new enhanced 911 emergency telephone system.

Holiday hunt for drunk drivers
It’s won’t be a holiday this weekend for law enforcement, which includes Pauls Valley’s police department already on the hunt as part of a national campaign focused on finding drunk drivers.
The campaign for the Labor Day weekend is called “Drunk Driving. Over the Limit. Under Arrest.” -
