Angela Faye Garrett of Wynnewood was born October 18, 1957 in Lindsay, Oklahoma and passed from this life on September 25, 2012 in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma at the age of 54 years.
Angela was raised in the Pauls Valley and Wynnewood area. For about 17 years she made Moore, Oklahoma her home then returned to the Pauls Valley and Wynnewood area where she has lived most of her life.
A letter from her family: “Angie was a loving mother and granny. Her grandkids were her life. Angie enjoyed being with her family. She loved playing bingo and talking about Ilie and Shyann and how fast they are growing into young ladies; not sure that she liked that because it meant that they wasn't her little princesses. Angie was loved by so many and she will be greatly missed. We love you so much sis and you will always be in our hearts. We love you, Your Loving Family.”
Angela was preceded in death by her mother, Iliagene “Ollie” Johnson and her father, Arvil Brown; two brothers, Stevie Johnson and Eddie Johnson; one sister, Deana Kay Anderson; one nephew, Caleb Forewood; and by two nieces, Lisia and Lacey Forewood.
Surviving family include her baby boy, Eddie (Little Man) and his wife Lacey Hilmes of Konawa; two daughters: Shawna Michelle and her husband Mark Brock of Lawton, and Rae Marie and her husband Kenny Brown of Moore; 11 grandchildren: Ilie, Shyann, Halley, Trinity, Reagon, Dallon, Josh, Kayleb, Tristen, Adam and Garrett; her daddy, Edward Johnson of Wynnewood; her significant other, Mike Gibson of Wynnewood; two sisters: Stormie and Jimmy Wood of Wynnewood, and Pepper and Tony Forewood of Wynnewood; eight brothers: Frankie and Barbara Brown of Pauls Valley, Danny Johnson, Billy and Melissa Johnson of Wynnewood, Budle and Halie Johnson of Watonga, Justin Johnson of Wynnewood, Greg Brown and his wife of Maysville, Jason Brown and his wife of Maysville, and Kenneth Brown and his wife of Lindsay; as well as a host of nieces and nephews and other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services will be held Friday, September 28, 2012 at 2 p.m. at Stufflebean-Coffey Chapel of Remembrance, officiated by Rev. M.E. Sellers and Rev. David Hamilton. Interment will be at Oaklawn Cemetery - Wynnewood under the direction of Stufflebean-Coffey Funeral Home.
