Pauls Valley, Oklahoma — Shirley Ann Jackson, 72, passed away Saturday, Nov. 10, 2012 at her home in Cox City. Shirley was born Aug. 15, 1940 east of Marlow to Dewey Lawrence and Julia Davis.

Shirley attended Bray Schools until the 9th grade, as well as one year at Cox City School. Moving to Marlow, she attended school there while working at Talley Worker Hospital. Later in her career, she enjoyed a 16-year career at the Southern Oklahoma Resource Center in Pauls Valley. She retired in 2005.

Services are scheduled for 3 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 14 at the Cox City Baptist Church with Rev. Bill Love officiating.

Burial will be in the Carnes Family Cemetery under the direction of Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral Home in Marlow.

In lieu of flowers, contributions to the Cox City Baptist Church building fund is encouraged.
