Pauls Valley, Oklahoma — Alice Joy Douthit, 94, of Newcastle was born December 12, 1918 in Foster to Ida Mae (Huffman) and William Monroe Littrell. She passed away December 22, 2012.

She began her teaching career at Burrows High School in Foster in 1938. She married Hubert M. Douthit at Foster on January 29, 1943. Mrs. Douthit spent most of her life in the Wynnewood area.

Services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, December 29 at the Eastern Gate Baptist Church east of Wynnewood, officiated by Rev. Lloyd Christensen. Burial followed at Oaklawn Cemetery in Wynnewood.

Family visitation was Friday, December 28 at DeArman Funeral Home from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Services under the direction of DeArman Funeral Home of Wynnewood.
