Pauls Valley, Oklahoma —
Geneva Wahoma (Yoakum) Blackwell was born October 17, 1920, in the Signal Hill Community near Rosedale, Oklahoma. She passed away on December 3, 2012, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, at the age of 92 years.
Geneva was the daughter of Dennis A. and Eva Velma (Jay) Yoakum.

In 1956, Troy, Geneva and family moved from Oklahoma City to the family farm east of Wayne, Oklahoma.
She resided here, working alongside Troy and their four children through the years, until failing health necessitated her moving to an assisted living center in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma in 2011. Further health challenges resulted in her moving to a nursing facility in Wynnewood, Oklahoma, in the final months of her life.
Geneva was a member of the First Baptist Church of Wayne, Oklahoma, for over 50 years. She delighted in her children, grandchildren and extended family, and enjoyed cooking delicious meals for them and the many friends that came with them to her table.
