Joan Andrews Hays of Blanchard, Oklahoma, formerly of Pauls Valley, Oklahoma was born to Robert Samuel and Mable Irene (Manning) Hays on August 26, 1942 in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma and passed from this life on December 9, 2012 in Blanchard, Oklahoma at the age of 70 years.
Joan grew up and attended school in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma. She then went to beauty college in Ada, Oklahoma and operated her own business for a number of years. Joan later worked as a secretary for the Oklahoma Deparment of Corrections.
In her spare time she enjoyed sewing, making Raggedy Ann dolls and painting.
Mrs. Andrews is survived by her son, Tommy Holder of Blanchard, Oklahoma; 2 sisters: Jennie A. Crull and her husband Raymond of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and Brenda S. Cordry of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; and 1 grandchild.
Mrs. Andrews was preceded in death by her parents, Samuel and Mable Hays; 2 brothers, Bob Hays and Jack Hays; and 1 sister, June McKinley.
Funeral services are scheduled for Wednesday, December 12, 2012 at 2 p.m. in the Wooster Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ken Wood officiating.
