Ruby Helen Sorrells McCarty
Ruby Helen Sorrells McCarty, 83, was born on Oct. 21, 1926, and passed away on Nov. 24, 2009.
She married J.I. McCarty on Jan. 19, 1946, and had three children: Linda Faye Wilkerson, Ruth Helen Huckabaa and Doyle J. McCarty. She had six grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchildren.
She lived her entire life in the Pauls Valley area.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Les and Carrie Sorrells; two sisters, Irene O’Neil and Hazel Griffin; two brothers, Robert Sorrells and Dean Sorrells; and her husband, J.I. McCarty.
Ruby is survived by Linda Wilkerson, Raelyn, Shawn and Zoey Hawkins; Ruth and Bill Wilkerson; Candie and Kelsey McKee, Matthew, Dee Dee, Cooper and Bren Huckabaa; Michael, Peggy and Bella Huckabaa; Doyle and Donna McCarty; Kristy, Boyde, Kirsten and Luke Scott; Kerri, Brad, Kyle, Macie and Austyn Buckaloo; Jennifer, Jeff, Blake and Shelby Fisher.
Services will be held at Stufflebean-Coffey Funeral Home on Friday, Nov. 27 at 2 p.m.
