Lottie Mae Bridges, 87, of Pauls Valley was born on March 3, 1922, in Walters, Okla., to Lee and Willie (Clay) Hayes and passed from this life on Wednesday, December 16, 2009, in Wynnewood.
Lottie and Howard Lester Bridges were married on September 16, 1939, in Walters, Okla., and were married for 70 years.
Lottie enjoyed sewing and camping. She and Howard loved to go country and western dancing. They were able to continue dancing until they were almost 80 years old. Their grandchildren enjoy watching Lottie and Howard dancing on videos that were filmed several years ago.
Lottie was a member of the First Baptist Church of Lindsay, Oklahoma.
Lottie is survived by one daughter: Nancy Marie Hoyle of Troy, Alabama; two grandchildren: Tracey Hensley and her husband Craig of Troy, Alabama; Leanne Dodson and her husband, Dan of Tucson, Arizona; and three great-grandchildren: Whitney Hensley and Tanner Hensley of Troy, Alabama and Haley Dodson of Tucson, Arizona.
Mrs. Bridges is preceded in death by her parents, Lee and Willie Hayes; her husband, Howard Lester Bridges; her sisters: Cordell Selby, Dean Moore, and Myrtle Hutchins; her brother, W.R. Hayes; her grandson, Scott Michael Bridges; and her son, Howard Ray Bridges.
Funeral services for Lottie Mae Bridges are scheduled for Monday, December 21, 2009, at 2 p.m. at the Walters Cemetery in Walters, Oklahoma, with Gerald Hayes officiating. Interment will be in Walters Cemetery.
