Pauls Valley, Oklahoma —
Gary Lynn Vassar Jr. of Foster, Oklahoma was born to Gary Lynn Vassar Sr. and Melba Faye (Carr) Aldridge on November 3, 1976 in Littlefield, Texas and passed from this life on February 14, 2013 at the age of 36 years.
Gary grew up and attended school in Cleburne, Texas where he graduated in 1995. He served his country in the U.S. Marine Corp. Gary later became a welder and was currently working for CUDD Pressure in Lindsay, Oklahoma.
In his spare time he enjoyed coaching T-ball, coon hunting, fishing, camping and spending time with family and friends.
Mr. Vassar is survived by 2 sons: Dakota Lane Vassar of Foster, Oklahoma, and Lemuel James Vassar of Foster, Oklahoma 1 daughter: Darby Chyenne Vassar of Foster, Oklahoma; mother: Melba Faye Aldridge and husband Jerry of Foster, Oklahoma; father: Gary Lynn Vassar Sr. of Cleveland, Texas; step-mother: Lisa Vassar of Cleburne, Texas; 3 sisters: Saunya Vassar of Duncan, Oklahoma, Autumn Vassar of Mansfield, Texas, and Jerry Mae Aldridge of Bay Shore, New York.
Mr. Vassar was preceded in death by sister LaDonna Vassar; grandmother Mary Aldridge.
Funeral services are scheduled for Monday, February 18, 2013 at 2 p.m. in the Purdy Cemetery with Pastor Jean Patterson officiating.
