Pauls Valley, Oklahoma —
Ricky Paul Welcher of Lindsay, Oklahoma was born to Daniel Harold and Betty Jean (Rhodes) Welcher on January 3, 1954 in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma and passed from this life on November 4, 2012 at his home at the age of 58 years.
Ricky grew up and graduated from high school at Elmore City, Oklahoma. He went to work in the oil field and his career spanned 40 years. Ricky retired as a pipeline supervisor.
On June 23, 2001, Ricky married April Kathleen Kite and together they made their home in Lindsay, Oklahoma. In his spare time he enjoyed fishing, bird and deer hunting.
Mr. Welcher is survived by his wife, April Welcher of the home; sons: Aaron Welcher of Ada, Oklahoma, Micah Welcher and wife Sharla of Altus, Oklahoma, and Stoney McGehee and wife Amanda of Tishomingo, Oklahoma; daugthers: Teresa McGehee of Sulphur, Oklahoma, and Julie Marquis and husband Stacy of Ravia, Oklahoma; sisters: Cindy Tadlock and husband Don of Elmore City, Oklahoma, and Cheryl Vinson and husband Ross of Elmore City, Oklahoma; 5 grandchildren; the mother of his children, Donna Welcher; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Mr. Welcher was preceded in death by his parents, Daniel and Betty Welcher; and brother, Johnny Welcher.
Funeral services are scheduled for Wednesday, November 7, 2012 at 2 p.m. in the Elmore City First United Methodist Church with Rev. Micah Welcher and Dr. Joe Lynch officiating. Interment will be in the Elmore City Cemetery under the direction of Wooster Funeral Home.
