Pauls Valley, Oklahoma — Ray Newby, 92, of Lindsay was born to Luther and Lucy (Ward) Newby at Stratford on May 18, 1920 and passed away Thursday, Nov. 15, 2012 in Lindsay.

The Newby family moved to the Hughes community when Ray was a child and then later moved southwest of Lindsay. Ray attended school in Hughes and later Oak Grove.

On July 12, 1941 Ray married Von James in Lindsay.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 19 in the First Baptist Church in Lindsay, Oklahoma with Rev. Randy Allen officiating.

Interment will be in the Greenhill Cemetery under the direction of Wooster Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 17 at the First Baptist Church in Lindsay.
