After spotting the Heritage Hall Crusaders 14 post at the start of the Friday’s Class 3A playoff game, the Pauls Valley Panthers dug in behind two Joe Kyle Foster touchdown passes to Dewayne Sanders to cut the lead to 14-13 at the half.
Like the last three games, the wheels came off for the Panthers in the second half. The Hall scored 21 unanswered points for a 35-13 win over the Panthers ending Pauls Valley’s season with a record of 5-6.
Crusader Connor McGinnis led the offensive charge with three touchdown runs of 40, 5 and 41 yards. In all Heritage Hall had 298 yards on the ground and added another 75 through the air.
Sanders had two big pass receptions from Foster one of 48 yards for the Panthers first touchdown and one of 8 yards that cut the lead to one and gave the Panthers some momentum going into the locker room at half.
The Hall deflated the Panthers hopes with a 21 point third quarter and ended PV season.
PV finished with 240 yards in total offense, 164 of that coming through the air.
