Stratford jumped out quickly on the Wynnewood Savages leading 8-0 and 14-3 before cruising to a 90-31 win Tuesday at the Bulldog Gymnasium.
Chris Kozak and Randy Brown helped spark the run and by the end of the first quarter had 5 three point field goals between them as Stratford led 25-4. The Bulldog defense created several turnovers that led to easy baskets and kept the Savages from putting it together on the offensive end of the court.
The hot shooting continued in the second quarter and behind Brown’s 15 points blew open the game even further. Kozak added 9 in the quarter as the Bulldogs opened up a 58-17 lead. Four different players scored for Wynnewood led by Levi Phillips’ five points.
The hot shooting cooled a bit in the second half for the Bulldogs. Stratford managed only 17 points in the quarter paced by Brown’s 6 points as Stratford extended their lead to 75-25.
Brown and Kozak finished their games in the third quarter with Brown scoring a game high 30 points and Kozak chipping in 20.
Five different players scored for the Bulldogs in the fourth quarter as they pushed the final margin to 90-31.
