Pauls Valley, Oklahoma —
Thirteen golfers participated in the Pauls Valley Municipal Golf Course Senior Club Championship a 36-hole event.
Bob Oller of Wynnewood was the first place scratch winner with a score of 140.
Following two days of golf, scores were also calculated with the players handicap.
First place went to Larry Clipperton of PV with a score of 119. Paul Nipper of Wynnewood was second with a 128. Mike Roberts of PV was third with a 134. J.H. Grove of Wynnewood was fourth with a 137. John Horn of PV was fifth with a score of 137 and Dave Stephens was sixth with a 139.
Closest to the pin contest were held on both days on holes #5 and #8. Bob Oller won closest to the pin on hole #5 on both Thursday and Friday as did Jerry Norman of Paoli who won it both day on hole #8.
The “scratch” and “handicap” champions won official “Braggin’ Rights” on the course. Their names will also be engraved on the club’s championship display in the Clubhouse.
Eighteen golfers participated in the 36-hole “Flat Belly” division of the Pauls Valley Municipal Golf Course Club Championship.
In the championship flight, Jess Patton of Pauls Valley was crowned the 2010 champ with a score of 130. Dean Browning of PV finished a close second and Tim Dennis of Pauls Valley rounded out the top three.
In the A-Flight, Dean Hill of Pauls Valley was named the champion with Dennis Whitehouse of PV finishing second and Kerry Lynn of PV and Jerry Grove of Wynnewood tieing for third.
Daniel Whitehouse of Pauls Valley was the Handicap champion. Daniel was also the closest to the pin winner on Saturday while John Horn claimed that title on Sunday. Tim Dennis won the longest drive on both days.
