The Paoli Pugs picked up a huge win Friday night knocking off the Central Broncos 48-46 on the Pugs home field.
After taking a 24-18 lead into the locker room at the half, the Pugs had to rally late after a 22-point third quarter by the Broncos. The Pugs scored 16 fourth quarter points and held on for the two-point win.
Josiah Gibson paced the Pug offense with 160 yards on 18 carries and scored two touchdowns. Aaron Webster also went over the century mark on the ground rushing for 137 yards and two touchdowns. D.J. Moore had over 100 yards passing to give the Pugs almost 400 yards in total offense.
Blake Hashagen had a big day on defense with 18 tackles and a sack. He also recovered a fumble that he returned for a touchdown.
Tra Robertson and Hunter Blackwood also had big days on defense with 15 and 14 tackles respectively. Will Stewart added 9 tackles.
The competition doesn’t get any easier for the Pugs and the Fox Foxes come to town Friday night.
