Savages open season tonight
It’s a football Thursday night for the Wynnewood Savages as they open the 2010 season at home tonight with Crescent.
“Crescent wanted to open up next year on a Thursday night when we returned the home-and-home matchup,” Wynnewood head coach Brad O’Steen said. “So we talked about it here and thought it would benefit us to play on Thursday night this year.” -
Bray looks to end streak
After an 0-10 campaign a year ago, Bray-Doyle has no where to go but up. They will look to end that losing streak and get started on the right foot at Elmore City-Pernell Friday night.
“They are an improved team,” ECP head coach Sam Sharp said. “They are a lot better then they were a year ago.” -
Warriors to face tough CHA squad
The Maysville Warriors will step up a class for their season opening opponent on Friday night. It’s a team the Warriors have some familiarity with in Class A but because of the reclassification, Christian Heritage Academy is now in Class 2A.

Panthers open season with Newcastle
It's been a great opening day battle for several years. Even though the been close, the Pauls Valley Panthers have yet to break into the win column against the Newcastle Racers on this opening day.

Club Championship winners named
Thirteen golfers participated in the Pauls Valley Municipal Golf Course Senior Club Championship a 36-hole event.
