Elmore City-Pernell used a big run to start the game and never looked back in a 70-22 win over rival Maysville Tuesday night.
A 16-0 run in the first quarter lifted the Badgers to a 26-5 lead. The Badgers only scored 7 points the rest of the half but the defense held Maysville to less than six points in each of the four quarters.
ECP got rolling again to start the second half pulling away for a 42-point win.
The Badgers’ Joshua Terrell led all scorers with 14 points. Dyllan Brassfield was the only other player in double figures finishing with 10. Dalton Hunter led the Warriors with 7 points.
Elmore City will be on the road to Alex tonight and then at Empire on Friday for their next games. Maysville will play at Wilson on Friday.
