The Wynnewood Savages had opportunities to win Wednesday’s elimination game with the Dibble Demons in the Big 8 Tournament at Wayne. Each run the Savages would make the Demons would respond.
The Savages never led in the game but cut the lead to one point on three different occasions, including as late as six minutes left in the game. Dibble would make a late run hitting 5-of-8 attempts to pull away for a five-point win.
Wynnewood had two wide open looks from three point land when they trailed by three late in the game but couldn’t get either to fall.
The Savages end their tournament run and will now get back into regular season action.
