The Pauls Valley Panthers opened up tournament play on the links in a 36-hole shootout at the Max Williamson Invitational in Ardmore.
Pauls Valley was one of two schools in the 23 team field not in a 5A or 6A school category.
The Panthers had a good showing in their first tournament out finishing 11th in the field with a two round total of 654.
They were tied for fifth after the first round but couldn’t get it going in the bolstering winds in the second round and fell to 11th.
Out of the 119 golfers Pauls Valley had two place in the top 15 with Matt Henry finishing tied for 11th with a 155 and Garrett Fisher finishing tied 14th with a 159.
Other Pauls Valley golfers were Daniel Whitehouse a 167, Micah Godfrey a 179 and Darrik Brewer a 182.
