Savages, Badgers roll to wins

marie@pvdemocrat.com — The Wynnewood Savages continued to roll and the Elmore City-Pernell Badgers got back in the win column with big wins Friday night.

Wynnewood had over 500 yards in offense as they routed Caddo 84-8. Trey Knowles had 128 yards on 9 carries and 2 touchdowns and Jace Brown threw for 147 more with two touchdowns to lead the Savage offense.

Elmore-Pernell’s defense came up big as they held rival Maysville to 58 total yards and scored three defensive touchdowns in a 69-0 win over the Warriors.

Zack Burks had a great game. He had two carries for 140 yards scoring both times he touched the ball and also returned two interceptions for touchdowns.

Elmore will have this week off because of the seven-team district set up while Wynnewood will host rival Stratford, a 36-14 loser to Wewoka.
