The Wynnewood Savages have been No.1 in Class A from the start of the season. All that remains between the Savages and a perfect 9-0 regular season is the Wewoka Tigers.
The Tigers have been up and down this season but with a win could knock off the Savages from winning the district title.
Both teams are already playoff bound. A win and Wynnewood wraps up the district crown while a loss could have them dropping to second or third or they could stay at 1.
The Tigers are loaded with gifted athletes and at times have shown their talents. Other times they haven’t.
Which team will show up for the Tigers? No one knows, but if the real Wewoka Tigers pull into Savage Stadium, the Savages could have their hands full.
Wynnewood has flexed their muscles all season and will need to again Friday night. Last week, WW put themselves in the drivers seat with a hard fought win over then No. 2 Wayne.
