Pauls Valley, Oklahoma — Roy D. Spivey, 49, of Sunnyvale, Texas was born to L.T. and Rosa Darlene (Wilkerson) Spivey on July 10, 1963 in Pauls Valley and passed from this life January 8, 2013 in Sunnyvale, Texas.

Mr. Spivey is survived by George Loper of Sunnyvale, Texas.

Mr. Spivey was preceded in death by his parents and sister Beverly Boston.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday, January 11 in Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Pauls Valley.

New Councilman Swear In

Joining the Pauls Valley City Council officially for the first time during Tuesday’s meeting, Patrick Grimmett was sworn in by acting Mayor Billy Riddle that evening. He joins the council after defeating former Mayor Tim Gamble in the elections held on April 2.
