Pauls Valley, Oklahoma —
Robert Edgar “Bob” Garrison, 92, was born May 4, 1920 in Pauls Valley to Harveand Bertha Garrison.
He was a 1938 graduate of Pauls Valley High School, and during World War II he enlisted in the Army Air Corps and served with honor retiring from the U.S. Air Force as a Chief Master Sergeant after 26 years of service.
Upon retirement having earned a master’s degree in psychology, he completed a second successful career as a counselor and psychology instructor at Portland Community College.
Bob passed away peacefully at his home in Beaverton, Oregon on January 8, 2013.
His beloved wife, Virginia, preceded him death in 2005 and by sisters, Hazel Catheyand Myrtle McGee, both of Pauls Valley, Emma Gardner of Comanche, Okla., and Kathleen Anderson of Norman.
He is survived by his daughter, Martha of Beaverton of Oregon; and son Robert and daughter-in-law Barbara of Battle Ground, Washington; five grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren.
There will be a memorial service at the Allen Blvd. Baptist Church in Beaverton, Oregon on January 17, 2013 at 2 p.m.
